Join the Curious Monkey Film Club for an evening of cinematic charm!
We’re inviting curious and passionate film lovers to join us for a screening of A Christmas Carol (1951), Charles Dickens’s beloved tale brought to life in one of cinema’s most celebrated adaptations. Watch Alastair Sim’s unforgettable performance as Ebenezer Scrooge and relive a story of redemption that still warms hearts today.
With this film, we journey from the 1930s to the 1950s — a cinematic time travel, as if we were one of Dickens’s Ghosts of Christmas
Whether you're revisiting this timeless gem or watching it for the first time, you're in for a treat.
About the film:
Ebenezer Scrooge, a curmudgeonly, miserly businessman, has no time for sentimentality and largely views Christmas as a waste of time. However, this Christmas Eve, he will be visited by three spirits who will show him the error of his ways.
As we journey into the classics of the 1930s, M marks our first step into the world of the "talkies." In this gripping thriller, Hans Beckert - a serial killer - becomes the focus of a massive Berlin police manhunt.
Whether you're revisiting this timeless gem or watching it for the first time, you're in for a treat.
