Join us for an evening of Brazilian music with Gab Mariquito at Good Company Bookstore!
Gab Mariquito is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and actress.
She is currently a PhD candidate and holds a Master’s degree in Literature, Culture, and Contemporary Studies from PUC-Rio. She has performed in important cultural venues in Rio de Janeiro since 2015, and in Portugal, in the cities of Lisbon and Évora, since 2022.
In this concert, Gab presents a voice-and-guitar format featuring original compositions alongside interpretations of Brazilian songs that shape and dialogue with her musical Identity.
She is the author of musical works such as Dúvida pra Passear (2020, Jahz Music), Grudin (2018, Jahz Music), and Pássaro (2016). She contributed her voice to the recording of “Doce Mistério” by Léo Midea, a finalist in the 2024 Festival da Canção Portuguesa. She also recorded Festa dos Visigodos (2017) with Itiberê Zwarg and the Oficina de Música Universal. In 2021, she conceived OSTRA FESTIVAL, focused on increasing the visibility of women in the music industry, and produced the documentary series Mulheres Compositoras, featuring renowned Brazilian artists such as Zélia Duncan, Joyce Moreno, Alice Ruiz, Ana Terra, Lucina, among others.
Event Timings
6.45pm - Doors open. Grab a drink and snack and say hello before the music starts.
7.15pm - The music will begin. Chairs are first come, first serve but we also have plenty of standing and floor seating space available. The artist will perform with a short interval in between.
9.00pm - The end of the concert.
Tickets
Our shows often sell out so we strongly suggest purchasing tickets online beforehand. However, if we are not sold out, tickets will also be available at the door. Chairs are first come, first serve but we also have plenty of standing and floor seating space available.

How To Find Us
By Metro: We're situated a 5-minute walk from the Campo Pequeno metro (Yellow line) and a 10-minute walk from the Alameda metro (Green & Red lines).
By Bus: There are many convenient bus options 2 blocks away from us on Avenida República, with the closest stop to our store being Campo Pequeno-Av. Republica.
By Bike: If you're using the Gira public bicycles, there is a docking station right across the street (#431 - Rua do Arco Cego / Av. Magalhães Lima).
By Car: There is a paid parking lot across the street, between Rua Arco do Cego and Rua Dona Filipa de Vilhena. Street parking is also available around the neighborhood.
