Join us at Good Company Books for a screening and discussion about the film The Thinking Game!
About the Film:
The Thinking Game is a 2024 documentary following DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis and his team at Google as they attempt to take on challenges at the intersection of biology and technology and solve the problem of protein folding with the AI model AlphaFold. The film offers a startling look at the development of sophisticated AI and the pursuit of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).
We will have a discussion circle following the film to discuss themes brought up and answer questions related to advanced AI development and what we can do to make it safe.
Tickets:
Entrance is free, and some snacks and drinks will be provided. Registration is mandatory, and space is limited.
We will have a donation box set up for anyone who wants to support the Lisbon AI Safety Hub and help make future events possible.
