Join us for an evening of poetry, creativity, and community at Good Company Bookstore, as we welcome The Blue Orange Poets to host a special Open Mic Poetry Night. Whether you're a poet, a poetry lover, or simply curious, this is an opportunity to share words, listen, and connect with fellow literary enthusiasts.
What to Expect from the Event?
The evening will begin with readings by three members of The Blue Orange Poets, offering a taste of their work before opening the floor. Then, it's time for the open mic - a space for anyone who wishes to share their poetry in a warm and welcoming environment.
If you’d like to perform, please prepare 1 or 2 poems, ideally originals. Both English and Portuguese poetry are welcome. Not a performer? No problem! You’re more than welcome to attend and enjoy the readings as part of the audience.
Who Will Host the Event?
The Blue Orange Poets are a Stanza group under the umbrella of The Poetry Society UK, originally founded in 2011. They meet monthly, usually in Cascais/Estoril, to share and critique each other's work, as well as to give readings when inspired or invited. This month, we’re thrilled to welcome them to Good Company Bookstore for a special poetry night.
