Fairy-Tale Monsters, Misfits, and Other Selves Workshop

June 30, 202619:00

Join us for a workshop on fairy tales with a researcher and writer Alba Morollón Díaz-Faes in Good Company Bookstore!

Event hosted in English

Fairy-Tale Monsters, Misfits, and Other Selves is a participatory workshop on monstrosity in classic fairy tales. Beginning with a short introduction, the session will explore how fairy tales use monstrous figures not only to stage fear and danger, but also to define, trouble, and sometimes resist social norms. Working with a small selection of traditional tales, participants will reflect on monsters, hidden selves, and identification with otherness through small-group discussion and shared conversation.
