Join us on a Sunday morning for a guided journaling workshop hosted by Genesis Garcia at Good Company Bookstore!
Event will be hosted in English, but you are free to write in your language!
In this 1h30 guided workshop, you'll learn to move past journaling blocks and let go of the pressure of "doing it right."Discover your writing flow through supportive techniques designed to make writing feel natural, reconnect with your inner voice, and discover the power in self-expression.
What is guided journaling?
We often consider journaling as the act of simply opening up a journal or a notebook and jotting down our first thoughts and emotions. Although journaling can consist of this type of "free-form writing," guided journaling offers specific questions, prompts, and structured frameworks that guide your writing towards particular reflections, insights, or outcomes. Instead of generating both the topic and the content, guided journaling takes care of the first part of you--that way you can focus on reflection and getting to the "good stuff." Journaling itself has become increasingly recognized as one of the most accessible self-care tools available. Guided journaling takes your self-care method up a notch!
What do you need to bring?
Your favorite journal, favorite writing utensil, and openness to writing.
Who is this event for?
This event is for those who want to deepen their journaling practice or who have always wanted to journal and don't know where to begin! In short, it's for anyone who has a journal and a pen and is ready be guided in writing self-reflection. This session will demonstrate that everyone can have a journaling practice and that everyone can benefit from having one.
